Complete Tutorial for making SWEM Textures Start to Finish
>> YOUR LINK HERE: ___ http://youtube.com/watch?v=LZOuKmge2lE
This is a long, LONG, video but it is a complete guide for making a new SWEM texture starting from finding the SWEM mod to implementation in the game itself. • I forgot to mention in the Blockbench tour that to ROTATE/SPIN the model in the modeling space you click and drag with the left mouse button. To MOVE/DRAG the model in the modeling space you click and drag with the right mouse button. • Also forgot to mention the 1st number for the paintbrush and eraser is the size of the brush. The 255 number for all tools is the opacity (255 is no opacity, full color). Each tool has a drop down menu of choices, but I rarely switch them from their defaults. • Sorry about these small forgotten mentions. I am sure someone else has a much more indepth tutorial on BlockBench ^^; • As I mentioned in the video, you can gain more help in Discord. You can find the link to join in the carrdo.co site at the top of my channel page or on the Tre's Tack Shop mod pages on Modrinth and Curseforge. • COMPLETE LIST OF TIMESTAMPS • 0:00 - Intro • 0:35 - Finding the SWEM mod • 2:04 - Extracting the SWEM Assets • 3:56 - NOTICE ABOUT SWEM ASSETS RIGHTS • 5:11 - Finding the SWEM Horse model • 7:10 - Obtaining Blockbench • 7:40 - Opening the SWEM Horse model in BlockBench • 8:37 - SWEM Horse model in BlockBench • 9:10 - BlockBench Tour • 10:25 - Adding a texture to the model • 12:20 - Explaining how the SWEM Horse model works with tack and coats • 13:25 - BlockBench Lock Alpha Painting Grid • 14:05 - How to hide unneeded model parts • 17:17 - Adding the Geckolib Plugin for animation checking • 18:05 - Importing the SWEM Animations • 18:50 - Selecting, viewing, and deselecting animations • 20:00 - BlockBench paint tools • 23:15 - Editing textures with an external paint software • 26:10 - Getting the Tack Shop Template Texture Pack • 29:15 - Explaining Texture Pack required parts • 30:00 - Finding Tack Files in the Template Texture Pack • 30:25 - How to add a custom horse coat • 32:10 - Importing textures from the Template Texture Pack • 32:40 - How to create an easy 'shading' layer for tack/coats • 34:55 - Adding the Template Texture Pack to Minecraft • 36:50 - Texture Pack Logo • 37:09 - The Tack Shop Template Texture Pack README file • 37:45 - RIBBON MODELS - Where to find and how to texture • 40:35 - Launching Minecraft • 41:40 - Enabling your new texture pack • 43:40 - Preventing errors with multiple SWEM texture packs • 45:40 - Reloading textures after a change • 48:00 - Fixing transparent horse texture errors from semi-transparent tack • 48:45 - Summary of Rendered Tack section • 49:30 - How to change menu/GUI item textures • 51:00 - Closing Showing how to find help in discord
