A Famous Turkish Recipe: Sariyer Borek😍 • Sarıyer is the name of a district in the north of Istanbul. • This Borek is one of the most popular food in that neighborhood ! • The filling has currants and pine nuts, making it super juicy and delicious:) I hope you will try this Traditional Borek!☺️ • Ingredients: • 1 Onion • 250 gram Minced Meat • 1 cup Milk • 2 Eggs • 3 tablespoons Butter • 16 Thin Phylo Dough • 50 grams Currants • 50 grams Pine Nuts • Steps: • 1- Sautee minced meat. Add onion and sautee for 5 minutes. • 2- Add currants and pinenuts, season with salt and pepper. • 3- Mix eggs, milk, 1 tablespoon melted butter and salt in a bowl. • 4- Place 4 layers of dough on top of each other. Spread milky mixture over. Transfer minced meat mixture on the edge of the phylo dough. Roll dough tightly. • 5- Place dough on baking tray.
