In this video, Sam takes a look at the new Fender American Performer Telecaster Hum, an all-American made Telecaster with a humbucker at the neck for less that £1000! Check it out here: https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/fender-am... • Fender's new American Performer series has replaced the now-discontinued American Special range as their most affordable all American made guitars, manufactured in Corona California. Now if you’ve played an American Special, you’ll know how just good they are, a kind of stripped down version of the more expensive models with less fancy finishes, but still delivering that authentic sound and playability of a genuine USA fender. • This guitar however, offers something that wasn’t available as part of the old American special range, and that’s a Telecaster with a humbucker pickup at the neck position. As you’d expect for a Telecaster, the American Performer features an Alder body with a bolt-on maple neck and either a maple or rosewood fingerboard, depending on which finish you go for. The neck’s got a super smooth, satin urethane finish featuring Fender’s modern C profile, and the fingerboard has the standard 9.5” radius and has been fitted with 22 jumbo frets, so anyone who’s played a modern Telecaster will instantly feel at home with this guitar. • Versatile Telecaster tones come courtesy of a pair of Fender’s new Yosemite pickups, a single coil at the bridge and a double tap hum bucker in the neck position. Along with the 3 way switch and volume control, you can access single coil tones from the hum bucker without any loss of volume, by pulling out the push/pull tone pot, so you can still want to get a traditional tele neck pickup tone, and Fender’s grease bucket circuitry allows you to roll off treble frequencies with the tone pot, without adding any bass or muddying the sound. • In terms of hardware, there’s 6 vintage style Fender Classic Gear 18:1 tuners up on the headstock and down at the other end of it’s 25.5” scale length, a string through body, vintage style bridge with 3 brass saddles. • There’s some pretty cool colours to choose from, either 3 colour sunburst or vintage white with a maple fingerboard and either Aubergine or Satin Surf green with a rosewood fretboard, and all of these models comes supplied with a great quality Fender gig bag. • Take a quick look and listen with PMTVUK and try one out now at your local Professional Music Technology... • Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/c/PMTVUK?sub_... • Find us on social media: • / pmthouseofrock • / pmthouseofrock • / pmthouseofrock
