In our 2020 Ford Escape Review, we look at a popular model in a popular class of compact SUVs, and Ford has redesigned it for the 2020 model year to mark its fourth generation. We got a chance to drive both the Escape and Escape Hybrid for the first time in Kentucky. It has an eight-speed transmission, and has enough power to feel reasonably brisk. There's also the hybrid versions which combines a non-turbo four-cylinder with electric power and it's a smooth operator. • The tires soak up bumps pretty well, but rough pavement can cause some noticeable road noise. It does ride well, but it doesn't brake as well with a non-linear grabbing you and pedal feel. Steering is very low effort but does feel a little numb on center. • Inside the Ford Escape, it features an intuitive eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. • The Ford Escape gets 26 to 42 MPG and is priced between $24,885 to $36,835. • Learn more about the 2020 Ford Escape: https://www.cars.com/research/ford-es... • Shop the 2020 Ford Escape: https://www.cars.com/shopping/ford-es... • • Cars.com’s Editorial department is your source for automotive news and reviews.
