As you can tell, I've got quite the new setup; I'll be using this from now on (this cover was a test run, so tell me if you liked the lighting)! • But yeah, this cover. I literally leveled up on all fronts for this endeavor, and I think this is the limit of my current speedrun skills. In this Netflix production, you will see: • -Many double-handed jumps (me holding on to accuracy for dear life hopping over octaves) during Signora's fiery entrance after the intro • -(the intro was also painful; how does one even pedal some of those sections without muddying?) • -PURE BASS sections. Jamming sessions go brr • -Right hand-kun is no longer passive, baby! Kokomi's theme at 1:30 has awakened something in me • -Kokomi's theme in general was just jaw-dropping, and it was both a pleasure and a pain trying to tackle it. I thought my Sakura's Theme was the end of my right hand adventures, but this is just on a whole other level. The harmony changes so much as well, but that's what's so amazing about it (especially the Ebm7 just slapped in there at 1:37; it gets me giddy every time). • -Even thiccer chords this time, with tons of 9th, 11ths, some 6ths and 7ths, and maybe a 13th in there somewhere, can't remember • -The very short insert of the Inazuma motif at 2:09 was a favorite personal addition, but I ended the piece the same way as the original. • -Instantaneous light changes, thanks to the power of a switch right in front of my left knee, and pre-programmed colors in the app. Idk if I'm gonna keep doing this though, since I've got enough on my plate to concentrate on. This was a bigger project though, so I feel like it was warranted for this time. Regular covers will probably stick with one color scheme in the future. • I burned a total of 14 painful hours trying to arrange, record, rearrange, record, and rearrange again, so idk if this is still a speedrun since I'm also pretty late (me choosing to hang out with irl friends after moving in instead of playing piano or going on Discord; I've sinned~!).
