Surging is the idling up and down in rpm. This fix deals with cleaning the pilot jet. • Go here to look up your Briggs and Stratton engine: https://www.briggsandstratton.com/na/... • Go to Amazon.com for: • Pin vise set whichever one works for you. I got one that came with micro mills and those seem to be the right size. • Tweezers • Ultimately it boils down to cleaning out that jet. • Do not bother with fuel system cleaner, unless you want to clean the fuel system afterwards.
