This module is designed for clinicians and provides a brief overview of product application and use. • Topics covered include: • • How to empty the pouch and reseal the outlet • • Measuring the stoma and cutting the barrier for a perfect fit (no visible skin!) • • Applying the barrier to clean, dry skin • • Securing the pouch to the barrier • Key things to remember! • 1. Measure the stoma, then cut the barrier opening to the size that does not leave any skin exposed • • Ensure no skin is showing between the barrier and stoma to prevent skin irritation and leakage • 2. Place pouch by aligning the bottom edge of the adhesive with the turquoise line at the bottom of the floating barrier • • Apply the pouch to the barrier evenly, with no wrinkles • • Make sure the landing zone on the barrier is clean and dry before applying the pouch • 3. Apply the barrier to clean, dry skin • • Avoid the use of any soaps and moisturizers around the skin • 4. Gently warm the barrier on the skin to activate the adhesive and ensure a good seal • • Remind the patient to gently hold their hands on the pouch for at least 2 minutes • These are abbreviated instructions.
