Throughout the four-track release, there are unmistakable influences from hip-hop, Chicago house, funk and classic techno that imbue this release with genuine character. From ‘Tribalism 01’ through to 04, the tracks are marked by Latin-American and African percussion as well as Motor City synth lines and interwoven jazz instrumentation and vocal hits. • “I think Fixon and I have joined forces on these tracks to make techno straight for the dance floor, the days in the studio were brilliant, so we flowed through the funkiest rhythms and voices.
