Welcome back to Puzzle Fit, where we are putting the pieces together for total, mind, body, and fitness! • Today we will learn all about Navasana! • Navasana | Boat Pose | 11 Vinyasas | Drishti: Pasha (Toes) (MacGregor, 2013, pg 115-116) • Appendix B Sanskrit Vinyasa Count: • Navasana (11 Vinyasas Drishti:Parsva) • Sapta Inhale-Jump through, legs up, reach forward • Astau Inhale, lift up • Repeat Sapta Astau 5 Times • Nava Exhale, jump back, Chaturanga • Dasa Inhale, Upward facing dog • Ekadasa Exhale, Downward facing dog • “If you find this pose challenging, you may, for a limited time, bend your knees while lifting your feet off the floor, as long as you are still doing the work of strengthening the interior space of your pelvis. (Pg 113, MacGregor) • In this series of videos, we will delve into the Ashtanga Primary Series.
