Stuart Cording guides you around a small portion of the Electronica 2022 trade fair that takes place every two years in Munich, Germany. • Electronica is the largest trade show in the world for the electronics and semiconductor industry. Taking place every two years at the exhibition center in Munich, Germany, it attracted more than 2,100 exhibitors spread across 14 enormous halls. More the 70,000 visitors dropped by to see what is new from the industry's leaders. I discovered plenty of power solutions, from high power to highly modular, and lots of innovation for electric vehicles. NXP demonstrated the N series of their new MCX portfolio of microcontrollers, and TDK showed us a laser-based retina projection display for augmented reality glasses. I also learned how Fusion is helping its customers source parts, and how they ensure the quality of the products they deliver. Finally, for those looking to build circuit prototypes more quickly, it is worth checking out the platform from Celus! • Contents • ======== • 0:00 - Intro to show #12. • 0:54 - onsemi - Jared Stevenson introduces the NCS32100 dual inductive rotary position sensor that can provide an absolute output with an accuracy of +/- 50 arcsecs at up to 6,000 RPM. • 7:20 - onsemi - Top-side cooled packaging for MOSFETs. • 8:05 - onsemi - VE-Trac SiC modules as used in the Mercedes-Benz VISION EQXX. • 9:02 - TDK-Lambda - Chris Maidment covers the background on their Mu modular power supply. • 18:10 - Nexperia - Dr. Dirk Wittorf explains how they are expanding their design teams to innovate new products. He also covers some new technologies, such as their NBM7100x/NBM5100x battery booster and 650 V Silicon Carbide (SiC) diodes. • 22:49 - NXP - Brian Carlson explains the importance of software for electric vehicle traction inverters and how the S32K39 supports that vision. • 34:04 - NXP - Romain Ricci shows us the new MCX N series microcontrollers that include hardware support for machine learning. • 43:45 - TDK - Hideaki Fukuzawa explains how their laser module projects images onto the retina for augmented reality glasses. • 47:53 - TDK - Simone Parini introduces a highly integrated 6-axis IAM-20680HT sensor suited to automotive applications. • 50:30 - TDK - Ishaq Syed shows off a robotics platform that includes a host of sensor technology together with two motor controllers. The integrated microphones can also be used to respond to voice commands. • 53:50 - Celus - Tobias Pohl, previously seen at the Fast Forward Awards, provides an update on their circuit design platform that can turn ideas into a design within 30 minutes. • 1:01.26 - Fusion - Paul Romano explains their business's quality and testing steps, helping them deliver parts when they can't be found elsewhere. • 1:09:36 - XP Power - Hafiz Khalid tells me how they are growing their portfolio of high-voltage power supplies, enabling them to tackle applications as diverse as semiconductor manufacturing and medical. • #eei #elektorei #Elektor #electronica22 #electronicafair #embedded • https://www.elektormagazine.com/elekt... • Check out our YouTube offers: https://www.elektor.com/youtube • Subscribe to our Newsletter: https://www.elektormagazine.com/elekt... • Join this channel to get access to perks: • / @elektortv • @ElektorTV
