To become a Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor (MAI), Marines must attend a grueling 3-week instructor course. The course is taught by Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Trainers, and attendees are awarded a green, brown, or black belt (concurrent with their current belt level) with a vertical tan tab indicating their instructor status. • With the ability to advance their units' MCMAP belt levels and enhance martial arts training, MAIs can help increase unit combat effectiveness with armed/unarmed combat, weapons systems, and techniques. • They're not out to create cage fighters, the focus in the course is physical fitness, technique, and leadership. It's not just about earning the tab— but about what you can give to the Marine Corps once you've earned the coveted MAI title. • Learn more at https://marinesbootcamphq.com
