My bed is a queen sized headboard: • Width is 65 • Height is 23 • The face of the bed is in the following order from Top to Bottom: • 1x4 • 1x2 • 1x4 • 1x3 • 1x4 • 1x2 • 1x4 • 1x4 • Now feel free to cut these longer than 65 if you have a King sized bed. • The frame in the back is made from 1x4s and is just cut to be 1.5 shorter in every direction than the face of the headboard. 62 in my case. • Then I just pre-stained, stained, and clear coated for a final look. • This headboard is stained with Dark Walnut.
