The sizing for this sweater is customisable and there are instructions throughout this tutorial on how you can size it to fit your individual cat so it will not restrict movement. I recommend that you try your unfinished sweater on your cat at regular points as you make it. You can begin sizing using your cat's neck circumference but other measurements that are helpful are: • Width across chest from leg to leg; • Length from neck to where you want the sweater to fall on the back; • Length from behind front legs to where you want it to fall under the belly. • For a helpful guide to measurements for sizing sweaters: https://bit.ly/sizingasweater • General guide to cat neck sizes: • • Small: 19-22cm – small, fine and hairless breeds e.g. Burmese, Siamese, Abyssinian, Balinese, Cornish and Devon Rex, Singapura etc. • • Medium: 23-27cm – for average-sized cats e.g. European, Domestic Shorthair, Tabbies, Scottish Fold, Persian, Manx, Bengal etc. • • Large: 28-32cm for bigger cats and larger or long-haired breeds e.g. Maine Coon, British Shorthair, Ragdoll, Savannah, Siberian, orange Tabbies etc. • • IMPORTANT: These sweaters are intended to be stylish and fun for you and your cat. For their safety, please supervise your cat at all times while they are wearing this sweater or any other item that secures around the neck, within which claws may become entangled or that contains items such as buttons, which may present a choking hazard. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PATTERN TO MAKE YOUR CAT HATE YOU. Reward your meowdel with healthy, tasty treats. • ------------------------------------------------------------------ • • Music: Groovy Piano by naje22 via LOOPERMAN. • • Many thanks to Twin Star Hooks for the inspiration for this sweater.
