On this day in 1946, Sir Winston Churchill visited Westminster College as the Green Lecturer and delivered Sinews of Peace, a message heard around the world that went down in history as the Iron Curtain Speech. Here is a British Movietone report featuring parts of this speech. • It was a very big day in the history of Fulton, Missouri when President Truman and Winston Churchill paid their visit. During his address at Westminster College Mr Churchill spoke of the situation in Europe and the iron curtain which has descended between the east and west of the continent. • At Fulton's Westminster College.
