HYSTER FORKLIFT FUEL IGNITION WORK

Johnny #5 my Hyster S25A, Space saver forklift, was down and out. In this video I fumble through some diagnostics on the propane fuel system; tracking the fuel from the tank to the intake. I make a few mistakes along the way and ultimately find out that my irregular operation was due to a faulty ignition system. I install a full tune up kit including all of the following; points, plugs, condenser, wires, distributor cap and rotor button. I came to the realization at the end of the project that the adjustment screw retaining the timing on the points was stripped out. Off camera I removed the points once again and repaired the damaged thread. Now she is running like a top. A new battery would come in handy along with a few other fixes. Brakes, cylinder rebuild kits, and transmission adjustment/fixing…Its all on the list…..Happy the forklift moves again and Grandpa’s old soda pop machine is safely off the forklift. • Note this old Hyster forklift is equipped with a Continental Y112 engine.
