If so, then follow this quick DIY tutorial on how to change all that, and create a masterpiece to turn some unusable space into a backyard oasis! • We set out to help a good friend create a beautiful space in her backyard, coming out of the kitchen door. The space was disjointed with pieces of artificial turf that were strewn in between odd patio pavers, who had lost their way over the years. • We started by excavating some of the earth to get the right grade and elevation before creating a solid foundation for the pavers to sit on. This also provided for good drainage and a level base to prevent any trip hazard. • We then aligned all the pavers both horizontally and vertically to ensure they were perpendicular to each other and this provided for aesthetically pleasing lines. Backfilling the gaps between each paver was organic soil that supported the growth of the Falkia Repens plant creepers that we installed. This finished off the space beautifully and created a softer pleasing contrast against the hardscaping. • If you're looking to catch up on your DIY fix, then look no further.
