NOSTALGIC CHRISTMAS STOLLEN COOKIES

Stollen is a traditional German recipe of sweet bread baked around Christmas time. I have turned it into a very nostalgic sweet cookie that will bring old sweet childhood holiday memories. • Here is my recipe: • 1 sick of soft butter (4 oz or 113g) • 1/3 cup sugar • 1 whole egg • 2 tsp vanilla • 3 +1/4 cup all purpose white flour • 2 tsp baking powder • 1/2 tsp cinnamon • 1/2 raisins (spoked in orange juice or rum) • 1/4 cup dry dried fruit candy (I am using dry apricots) zest of one orange (or any other citrus) 1/2 cup nuts (almonds or walnuts) • bake 350F for 12-15 minutes • ~~~~~~~~~~ • / lulis.homestead • ~~~~~~~~~~
