A Self Help Group (SHG) is a group of 10-20 members. The members are usually women from similar social and economic backgrounds. The SHG members voluntarily come together to save small sums of money on a regular basis. They pool their resources to become financially stable. The SHG members also take loans from their collective savings in times of emergency or financial scarcity. • Watch the video to learn more about SHGs. • For more details - https://www.clearias.com/self-help-gr... • Subscribe ClearIAS YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/clearias?sub_... • Join ClearIAS Telegram Channel: https://telegram.me/clearias • Download ClearIAS App: • (1) ClearIAS Learning App - https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... • (2) ClearIAS Test-Prep App - https://play.google.com/store/apps/de... • Enroll in ClearIAS Prelims Test Series - https://www.cleariasexam.com/upsc-pre...
