How to Make CheeseToast Like Sizzler! • Ask most Australians if they go to Sizzler and chances are they'll say that the do...but mostly for the cheesy toast! You'd think that for something so popular for an international restaurant chain that it would be harder to make...but trust us, it isn't! • Sizzler has been around since 1958 when it was founded as Del’s Sizzler Family Steakhouse in Culver City, California. Today, there are over 270 locations in the US alone! Although it filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1996 so it could get out of all its leases, it has still managed to allow families to eat at a steakhouse style restaurant with prices a bit higher than a fast-food restaurant. Today, there are Sizzler restaurants in Australia, China, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Puerto Rico and Thailand. • The menu is varied, with steak and seafood being on offer as well as a salad bar. Although the menu changes regularly, the one thing that has kept a lot of Australians going back for more is…CHEESY TOAST!!! • If you watch the video, you’ll see how easy it is to make. All it involves is mixing equal amounts of room-temperature butter and powdered parmesan cheese. Mix it together, spread it on some nice bread and fry it up for a few minutes.
