HP DesignJet 1050c memory upgrade. • How to ascertain the installed memory in your DesignJet 1050c and install memory upgrade DIMM. • http://www.hpplotter.co.uk • This video is showing a memory upgrade to a Designjet 1050c Series (including 1050c plus/1055cm/1055cm plus). First the operator checks how much existing memory is on the machine by going via the Panel menus to produce a Configuration sheet. This shows the current amount of installed memory to be 64MB. If it had 2 DIM cards in it, it would show 64MB + 64MB ( or whatever amount is added). As there is a spare slot we can upgrade the memory. The machine has been powered off and disconnected and ESD precautions taken before removing the rear panel plate with a T10 screwdriver. Align the new memory DIM in the spare slot, pressing it carefully home and replace the panel. The machine will run another Configuration page to ensure the new memory has been recognised.
