Check out this live demo of our Uniview 12MP fisheye lens IP security camera with a full 360° field of view, installed directly in the center of our warehouse. • *********************************** • Read the blog post here: https://bit.ly/2V8kmdL • *********************************** • Our warehouse is a pretty large space. It can be difficult to fully surveil this area without using a ton of cameras and PTZs. However, this one fisheye installed in the center of the room allows us to see the entire warehouse in one camera with one wide, 360° field of view. • You can manipulate and dewarp this fisheye view in a number of ways. First, you can set this to a panoramic view, either 360° or 180°, to see the full image in the correct orientation. • Second, you can set up various PTZ split views, to focus on specific areas within the wider field of view. • While dewarping, either as a panorama view or multiple PTZ views, you can move the image around, zoom in and out, and find the perfect configuration that works for you. You can do this in real-time or during playback. • However, there is a major difference here between the 12MP and the 5MP versions. The 12MP version lets you change the preview mode or the operation mode, whereas the 5MP version only lets you change the preview mode. • The preview mode only changes how the camera looks from the live view or playback menu. It affects how you experience the footage. But it doesn't actually change how the camera operates. If you're in a panoramic or PTZ mode and export a recording, that recording will still be in a static fisheye mode. • The 12MP fisheye's operation mode actually changes the function of the camera. If you switch this to a panorama or PTZ view, your recordings will export as a panorama or PTZ. This gives you more capabilities when adding your camera to an NVR, since you can add each operation mode to your NVR as a separate channel. That means you can have up to 6 total channels on your NVR from this one camera (and only 5 at one time): the fisheye channel, the panorama channel, and the four PTZ channels. With the 5MP version, on the other hand, you will always only have the one fisheye channel. • Another thing to keep in mind, while we're on the topic of NVRs, is that we have two types of Uniview NVR: the full 12MP version, which ranges from 8 channel to 64 channel, and the lighter 8MP version, which ranges from 4 to 16 channel. • The full 12MP NVRs have full fisheye functionality. You will be able to change the operation mode from the NVR interface. You will also have access to the fisheye dewarping modes. On the light 8MP models, you will still have access to the fisheye dewarping modes from the NVR's web interface, but not from the NVR's HDMI interface. • I hope this video helps give you a better idea if these fisheye cameras are right for you.
