How To Adjust SelfClosing Spring Hinge Door

A door with spring hinges that are self-closing are easy to adjust. Seasonal changes make it necessary to make adjustments to the spring tension in a spring hinge door. This video shows the type of door that I have. If you have locking pins in your spring hinge then here are some additional instructions for you: • Remove the Locking Pin. Place the hex wrench into the socket at the top of the hinge and turn in either direction to release tension on the pin. Remove the pin with a pliers. • Tighten or Loosen in Small Steps.
