As part of Venice's ongoing weekly cleanups, a coordinated operation took place at Venice Beach and surrounding areas. Led by the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, LA County Beaches and Harbors, and Clean Harbors Environmental Inc., the effort focused on removing a homeless encampment to maintain public safety and cleanliness. • Los Angeles Police officers and Park Rangers oversaw the process to ensure compliance with Municipal Code 63.44, which prohibits camping in city parks to keep public spaces safe. • The multi-agency task force, including LAPD, Public Works, LAHSA, and Councilwoman Traci Park’s office, sorted and removed hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
