In this video I go through all the steps to setting up the Raspberry Pi Chromium operating system. For anyone who hasn’t heard of chromium OS, it is a fast secure OS designed for anyone who uses the internet a lot. • Full Tutorial: https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-c... • As I mention in the video this port is a work in progress and will contain issues that might be really inconvenient. The developers are working a lot on this so you can expect a lot of the issues to be fixed in the coming months. With a bit of support, we can expect a fully functional cool web friendly OS to use on the Pi. • It is very important to note that this will only work on the two latest versions of the Pi, the Raspberry Pi 2 3. They are working on trying to get it to work for the Pi zero but because it doesn’t have a huge amount of power it’s not likely to run very smoothly. • The installation process pretty much follows every other operating system that you will install to the Raspberry Pi. It involves formatting the SD card and then writing your image to it. One thing that might catch you off guard is the SD card disappearing after you have wrote the image to it. If you put this in the Pi, it will work fine but access it on your PC becomes a little more painful. • If you do come across errors issues as you’re using this, it’s best to report these to the developers working on it. They have a sub-reddit and an official website where you can ask questions, discuss and anything else you might want to say. • I hope you have been able to get the Raspberry Pi Chromium to work correctly. If you come across any problems or anything else that you would like to say, then please feel free to leave a comment below or over at pimylifeup.com
