Dahil Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa naisipan kong isainterpretasyon ang isa sa mga nahiligan kong kundiman mula kay Miguel Mike Velarde. Una kong narinig ang Dahil Sa'yo sa isang pagtatanghal para sa Pambansang Alagad ng Sining na si Alice Reyes. Ang awit ay ginamit sa kanyang likhang sayaw na Bungkos Suite na nagpapakita sa pagkamalaromantiko ng mga Pilipino. Inawit ito ng Philippine Madrigal Singers sa pagsasaayos ni Fabian Obispo. Una kong tinangkang awitin ang kanta sa pagsasaayos ni Fabian Obispo ngunit naisipan ko na lamang idagdag ang mga parte nito sa pagsasaayos ni Tadao Hayashi. • English Translation: • Since it's National Language month in the Philippines, I thought of covering one of my old favorites written by Miguel Mike Velarde. I first heard Dahil Sa'yo (Because of You) in a tribute performance for National Artists for Dance, Alice Reyes at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. It was the opening song to her choreographic piece, Bungkos Suite, showing the romanticism and amorousness of the Filipino. It was sung live by the Philippine Madrigal Singers with the arrangement of Fabian Obispo.
