Since I'm learning how to use a new baitcaster, its time to share some beginner baitcaster tips. This is my first time fishing with the Lews American Hero Left Hand Retrieve baitcast reel! I have been fishing with right hand retrieve reels for over 25 years. So this is like learning how to use a baitcaster all over again. The two most important tips for a beginner involve the tension and the magnetic brake. Using these beginner baitcaster tips, I am able to use the new reel without getting any backlashes.
