For all non believers a picture of the hardware https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NK74... • • Core i5-11400 is reaching the stock long term maximum power draw of 65W nearly all the time while gaming. To unleash the full potential you have to disable all the limits in the BIOS otherwise you will be limited to 65W. Some motherboards will disable all the power and turbo limits as the defaults settings in BIOS, ASUS for example will use the INTEL recommended settings as default ones. • ASUS PRIME B560-PLUS Motherboard BIOS has 2 different ways to disable power limits and both of them will work. • First option is to enable ASUS Performance Enhancement which will disable all power limits. • https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oSDm... • Second option is to manually adjust the power limits to the maximum value in the BIOS • https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Znk... • With B560 motherboard you can overclock the memory and remove all the limits, you don`t need Z490 or Z590 motherboard to do it anymore. • BEWARE I saw a peak power consumption of nearly 140W! while using Cinebench R23 and constant power drawn of over 130W after removing the limits. Temperature was at around 75C max with 130W sustain load(Cinebench R23) when using cheap air cooler ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports ONE. • Resizable BAR aka Smart Access Memory was enabled for all CPUs and RTX 3070 was updated with new VBIOS to enable the feature. • Memory was set to 1:1 ratio(gear 1) for all CPU's. • System Spec: • CPU: Intel Core-i5 10400 @Stock • CPU: Intel Core-i5 11400 @Stock 65W Power Limit • CPU: Intel Core-i5 11400 @Power Limits Disabled • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @Stock • Motherboard Intel: ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-F GAMING • Motherboard AMD: ASUS TUF GAMING X570-PLUS • RAM: 2x8GB G.Skill Trident Z 3466MHz CL16 @ 3600 MHz CL16-15-15-30-302 • GPU: MSI RTX 3070 Gaming X Trio • CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports ONE • PC Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh • PSU: Corsair HX1000 - 1000W Platinum • Nvidia Driver: 465.89 • Recorded using capture card and second PC, zero performance loss. • 11 Games 1080p: • 0:00 - Cyberpunk 2077 - DX12 • 0:47 - Red Dead Redemption 2 - VULKAN • 1:34 - Assassin's Creed Valhalla - DX12 • 2:21 - Warzone - DX12 • 3:08 - Hitman 3 - DX12 • 3:54 - Horizon Zero Dawn - DX12 • 4:40 - Death Stranding - DX12 • 5:27 - Shadow of The Tomb Raider - DX12 • 6:08 - CSGO - DX9 • 6:49 - Rainbow Six Siege - VULKAN • 7:35 - Total War Three Kingdoms - DX11
