Our Thermal Analysis (TA) tutorial is a general introduction to this widely used technique, applicable to all industries from R D to quality control. • TA comprises a range of techniques that measure the physical properties of a substance as a function of temperature. • Materials characterization is dedicated to the thorough analysis and development of new materials, as well as periodic monitoring for quality control. • Thermal analysis consists of the following four well-established techniques: • 1. Differential Scanning Calorimetry, or DSC, • 2. Thermogravimetric Analysis, or TGA, • 3.
