Trim Capping Channel Letter faces with Plasco Trim Cap • When Trim Capping Channel Letter sign faces it's always important to notch or cut away the J trim extrusion using a carpet type cutter. You're basically cutting away a small triangle based on your outside angle i.e. 90 deg triangle for right angle corners....larger angles for sharper acrylic bends. • Make sure there are no gaps between acrylic edge and trim, make it tight, but not extremely tight as you don't want to gouge the outside trim. • It's very important to use a fast solvent such as Weld-On 3, or 4. It's very soluble and it will get between the acrylic edge and trim edge for good surface to surface Bonding/Welding. Finish up your trim cap job at the end by using a thicker syrup like solvent such as Weld-On 16...the most important part is using both NOT just one or the other. By using just one of the two it will not hold over time. • Plasco Trim cap does hold well with Poly-Carbonate Channel Letter Sign faces as well too.
