Matriculation is the accepting of Oxford students into Oxford. It used to comprise of an exam in Latin, which has now been made redundant by high school exams or other assessments. Part of the matriculation ceremony is still carried out in Latin. All in all, it probably lasts approximately 20 minutes and is undertaken throughout the morning with the staggered entry of different colleges. Here is the matriculation into Oxford with the St Anne's college students on October 13, 2007. Afterward's we headed to the Turf Tavern, which holds a history that includes the achievements of former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke, who in the Tavern downed a yard glass of beer in 11 seconds to enter the Guiness book of records. The Tavern also claims to be where Bill Clinton 'smoked but didn't inhale' illegal substances. • • Music: Revolutionaries by Bethany Dillon can be found on the album DIM here at http://www.amazon.com/DIM-Now-We-See-...
