It's 1988 and England's Cloven Hoof have released their 2nd full-length album, Dominator. It is starting to feel a bit late in the game for metal fans to put down their Metallica, Holy Terror and Kreator albums long enough to get excited about a 4th quarter NWOBHM album, but Cloven Hoof rose to the challenge with class and hard driving power with enough conviction to salute the classics created by their fellow countrymen. Even though half of tonights Metallurgists were deeply entrenched in the thrashing 80's and soon would become transfixed by a rising death metal firestorm, and the other half were either too young, or not born yet to experience the evolving, we gather here tonight to discuss the inner workings of Dominator and all things English heavy Metal.
