These are the Lead Guitar parts to an awesome song by The Belonging Co. • Effects: The ZVEX SHO JHS Kilt are on for the entire song. The Kilt has the G1 engaged. I also used a Digitech Whammy in the dry plus octave down mode. Jordan Holt loves to use the octave down setting on whatever Octaver pedal he is using (Walrus Luminary/Micro POG). I have heard him say this several times in videos and podcasts. Personally, I like to use Octave Up, but knowing a bit about Jordan and using my ears, I believe he is playing the main hook an octave higher and using an octave down setting every time except in the intro. I used the whammy for this because that is the only octave pedal I have at the moment. I used the Strymon Timeline on an 1/8th note setting in digital mode. I also had a light plate reverb on via the Bigsky. Both were on for the entire song. • I took a quick look at multitracks.com and discovered this song has 8 guitar tracks on it. Finding a way that does the original justice with only two guitars was a bit tricky, but doable. It made the song a bit more fun because I could pick and choose my favourite parts to play. It did make it hard to pick out what was happening at times.
