Gray Tree Frog Mating Ritual

Gray tree frogs took over our old swimming pool during their breeding season in May 2015 (Eastern Ontario). During these mating rituals, the male tree frogs let out a high-pitched, piercing sound to attract the females who then approach the males with the most prolonged and frequent calls. Does this technique for attracting women also work for humans? No...no it does not. It actually seems to have the opposite effect. • FUN FACTS: Gray tree frogs can change the colour of their skin like chameleons, climb walls + trees with the (self-cleaning) sticky suction cup pads on their feet, and survive freezing temperatures by producing glycol (antifreeze) in their bodies. • For more information: • https://www.ontarionature.org/protect... • ©, C.Helmeste, 2016.
