Due to the random orbits made by the sanding sheet, you’ll have a sander that’s second to none for removing material and leaving you with a glassy smooth finish. • In this Toolstop TV guide, we’re looking at Dewalt’s new DWE6411 orbital sander. • This 2016 upgrade to Dewalt’s orbital sander presents us with a lower profile body that helps improve your control over it, along with reductions to the the vibration and inherent wobble typically experienced with orbital sanders. • User feedback has resulted in a new paper clamp which allows for even faster paper change, along with an improved paper tensioning system when you’re using conventional abrasives. Or you can use a sanding sheet, attaching it to the sander via the hook and loop system. • And there’s even a hole punch supplied allowing you to take any abrasive and make it fit on the pad of the DWE6411. • The motor outputs 230 watts which will provide you with 14,000 orbits per minute. And the motor is dust sealed for increased durability. On top of that, Dewalt has used 100% ball-bearing construction which improves the life-span of the sander. • From an ergonomics point of view, the DWE6411 is top class. From the textured anti-slip top and body grips, to the dual plane counter-balance, it’s comfortable to use and easy to control, and hand/arm vibrations are kept to a minimum. • Orbit Size: 1.6 mm • Paper Size: 140 x 115 mm • Pad Size: 108 x 115 mm • Hand/Arm Vibration: 4.0 m/s2 • That’s the DWE5411 orbital sander from Dewalt, and it’s available now from Toolstop.
