The final of our 1993 journey! The band was in excellent form and even though Jon's voice wasn't up to where it had been at times in the spring of 1993 which made him avoid a few high notes, the overall energy is great here! As usual for the second half of the year, Jon really extends In These Arms and then launches from the ad-libs straight into Prayer which I personally really like! Even though a version of this show had been on YT in the past at some point, it was never complete and always missed the final song for some reason. • Very good recording. It's obvious that they were still sorting out the overall mix a bit at the beginning, but it settles into an overall steady pattern early on. Upon remastering it, I was happy with the first raw result and then struggled mightily with the finetuning, probably deleting something up to seven results before I thought it was ok. Since the source was lossy and hence gave some metallic compression artifacts on Tico's cymbals and Jon's s sounds, I deliberately lowered some of the higher frequencies and settled for a warmer, more natural mix. Furthermore, you always have to keep YT's own applied compression in mind, something that had been underestimated by certain channels in recent times. • Sound remastered! • Setlist: • 01.
