Any Pokémon that faints must be released or boxed for the rest of the run • 2. Only the first wild Pokémon encountered in a route or area can be caught. If one player fails to catch it (ie. it flees or faints), BOTH player’s opportunity to catch a Pokémon in that area is gone • 3. We must nickname all Pokémon we catch or obtain - twitch subs can choose to have a Pokemon named after them 🙂 • 4. Duplicate (dupes) clause: If the first Pokémon in an area is one the player already owns, they may continue battling until they encounter one they do not own, and then attempt to catch it. This rule prevents a player from having multiples of the same Pokémon. • 5. Shiny Clause: If the player encounters a shiny wild Pokémon, they may catch it, even if a wild Pokémon has already been encountered in that area. This does not count as the encounter for that area. This also gives the other player an ‘encounter token’ to catch a Pokemon on whatever route they want to be linked to this shiny Pokemon • 6. Use set battle mode • 7. No over-levelling: a player’s Pokémon may only be trained up to the level of the next Gym leader’s strongest Pokémon, and if it goes over before this, then that Pokemon may not be used until after that gym • 8. The run doesn't start until we have Pokeballs • Soul Link Rules: • 1. Encounters for players on each route are linked. If one player fails to catch their encounter for a route, the other player must box or release their encounter for that route as well. If both players successfully catch their first encounter for the route, those two Pokémon are “linked” as partners • 2. When one player’s Pokémon faints, its partner on the other player’s team must be boxed or released as well as soon as the current battle/ area is done • 3. If a Pokémon is placed in the PC, its partner on the other player’s team must be placed in the PC as well • 4. No Pokémon on either team may share the same primary type, and the encounter must be re-rolled if the second player encounters the same type Pokemon as the first player’s encounter (normal-flying counts as just flying due to the volume of normal types) • 5. The run doesn’t end if we lose all the Pokemon in our party, it only ends if we lose all our Pokemon from our box • Randomization: • Abilities are random, with wonder guard and trapping abilities being banned • Starter Pokemon are random but always have 2 evolutionary stages • Static encounters are random • Trades are random • Opposing trainer’s Pokemon are random • Wild Pokemon are random, they can also be mega evolved • TMs and move tutors are randomized, with the chances of being able to learn the moves matching the Pokemon's type • Items found, sold in shops and obtained through pickup are all random • Level Caps (ORAS): • Gym 1: Lv 14 • Gym 2: Lv 16 • Gym 3: Lv 21 • Gym 4: Lv 28 • Gym 5: Lv 30 • Gym 6: Lv 35 • Gym 7: Lv 45 • Gym 8: Lv 46 • Elite Four 1: Lv 52 • Elite Four 2: Lv 53 • Elite Four 3: Lv 54 • Elite Four 4: Lv 55 • Champion: Lv 59 • wow you actually read all of it
