It is a method of communication for electronic instruments, computers, MIDI controllers and similar devices to synchronize. • Unlike regular instruments, MIDI does not transmit audio signals. • The MIDI controller sends notices about musical notation to GarageBand. GarageBand then takes the messages and creates notes on the project timeline.
