Tanjiro beheads Hantengu not realizing it was a decoy and tries to warn Nezuko to flee before dawn. But Nezuko begins to burn as the sunlight reaches her, prompting Tanjiro to shield her. Sacrificing herself, Nezuko kicks Tanjiro towards the villagers towards Hantengu. Determined Tanjiro continues his pursuit, discovering the demon's real body in the heart of the decoy, defeating him.
