And the number of sound waves that pass a fixed point per second (or the number of times a string vibrates per second) is called the ‘frequency’ and is measured in Hertz. So our string is vibrating at 200 Hz. Frequency and Wavelength determines the pitch of the sound. • Some of the animations in this video were sourced from the below websites.
