Today, we’re going over the EMS-RG. • This skid is part of our QTAC EMS line up alongside the EMS-R and EMS-F, all of which you can find more information about on our website. QTACFIRE.COM • The QTAC EMS-RG is a dedicated, lightweight EMS skid system designed to quickly and securely accommodate a patient gurney and attendant. • The EMS-RG is extremely sturdy and built to carry the weight of today's patient transport gurneys. • You will find this best suited for a large SXS or a small pickup truck, due to the EMS-RG footprint and weight. • The EMS-RG weighs in at 222 pounds with antler and rail fastening system • and 201 pounds by itself. • The read base on here is made up of aluminum and then the top here is made up for welded Polytough™ construction • just like the rest of our QTAC skids. • which means that the top here is impact resistant. • It won't crack or dent, it's lightweight, won't corrode • and impervious to most chemicals • Let's jump into some of the features we have on the skid. • First, we have side handles that you can grab onto in transport to help keep stable • and also lift the unit in and out with the help of a few people. • There are three mounting points on either side of the EMS-RG. • To mount the skid to the bed of your truck • or UTV with through bolts. • the EMS-RG features everything needed to safely transport patients on a gurney with an attendant on board. • Equipment includes an adjustable attendant seat with seatbelt, • aluminum L-Track with an adjustable foot stop, • And the L-Track can also be outfitted with optional mounting points • For securing medical bags or other loose items. • The EMS-RG is perfect for events or that extremely hard to reach area where getting a patient to a waiting ambulance with speed is critical. • So why would you get the EMS-RG over the other options in our EMS lineup? • The QTAC EMR-R and EMS-F • Well the big reason is you need to attach and haul a standard sized gurney, both the EMS-R and EMS-F have a rescue area for Stoke's basket or a long board but cannot attach a standard size gurney. But if you don't need the full sized gurney capabilities and maybe need some storage or a very lightweight EMS unit, then the EMS-F or the EMS-R will work great for you. • That's all I have for this episode of QTAC Academy.
