Franz Beckenbauer accepts the Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award 2007 • Der Kaiser, as he is known on the field, was twice named European Footballer of the Year, Beckenbauer appeared 103 times for West Germany and played in three FIFA World Cups and two European Championships.
