Four wafers layered with three layers of cocoa cream and dessert chocolate. But is the production of the famous wafer so simple? You will learn, among others how much time it takes to manufacture one wafer and how the characteristic Prince-Polo waves are formed. • The first Prince Polo wafer was produced in 1955. The owner of the production was the Olza enterprise from Cieszyn. For years, the wafer enjoyed popularity in Poland and in some countries of Central and Eastern Europe. • Interestingly, Prince-Polo was also well known in Iceland, where the wafer was delivered as part of the exchange ... for herring. Years later, the then President of Iceland recalled: - A whole generation of Icelanders grew up on two things - American Coca-Cola and Polish Prince Polo. • In 1993, the Cieszyn company was taken over by Kraft Jacobs Suchard, i.e. the current Mondelez International group. It's a global giant when it comes to the production of sweets. Delicje, Prince-Polo, Milka, Oreo and Halls.
