The quick, easy, and foolproof loading and assembly of the focusing tray is illustrated step by step for the gel-side-down configuration; disassembly is also shown. • The PROTEAN i12 IEF system can run up to 12 IPG strips from 7--24 cm long. Each channel in the i12 focusing tray is independently powered, giving the user total control over each IPG strip.
