Early Predictions for 2025 Social Security COLA • The Senior Citizens League is predicting that the 2025 Social Security Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) is on track to hit a milestone it hasn't hit for a very long time. The adjustment is based on third-quarter data from the Consumer Price Index, so the Social Security COLA won't be released until likely October 2024. Yet, based on current CPI data, early projections suggest the COLA for 2025 could be as big as 2.6%.
