What’s happening in this Panic Room movie clip? • Meg (Jodie Foster from The Silence of the Lambs and Contact) knocks Raoul (Dwight Yoakam) over a banister and into a stairwell with a sledgehammer. As Burnham (Forest Whitaker from Lee Daniels' The Butler and Bird) flees, Raoul crawls back and Stephen (Patrick Bauchau) tries to shoot him despite his serious injuries, but fails. Raoul overpowers Meg, preparing to bludgeon her with the sledgehammer. Burnham, hearing the screams, comes back and shoots Raoul, killing him. • Rent or buy Panic Room here: https://apple.co/3hIrA2h • What’s the Panic Room movie about? • Meg Altman (Jodie Foster from The Silence of the Lambs and Contact) and her 11-year-old daughter, Sarah (Kristen Stewart of Charlie's Angels and Seeberg), move into an apartment on New York's Upper West Side. The former owner has installed a panic room to protect from intruders. On the first night, Junior (Jared Leto from Mr. Nobody and Alexander), the grandson of the previous owner, Burnham (Forest Whitaker from Lee Daniels' The Butler and Bird), an employee of the residence's security company, and Raoul (Dwight Yoakam), a psychotic thug, break in to retrieve bearer bonds from the panic room. Meg rushes with her daughter into the panic room. Later, she manages to connect to the main phone line and calls her ex-husband Stephen (Patrick Bauchau), but the intruders cut the line before the call is over. Stephen arrives and is taken hostage. Sarah, who is diabetic, needs his treatment. Raoul makes Meg believe that it is safe for her to come out of the panic room. Once out, Meg gets into a fight with Raoul, who then gets stuck in the panic room with Burnham and Sarah. Burnham opens the safe and finds $22 million in bearer bonds inside. The burglars are about to leave, taking Sarah hostage, but Meg sets traps, which lead to Raoul falling over a railing and into a stairwell. Raoul returns and attempts to attack Sarah, but Burnham, hearing Sarah's screams, shoots Raoul, killing him. The police arrive and arrest Burnham, who drops the bearer bonds that scatter in the wind.
