The musical note B flat is used for tuning woodwind and brass bands and is the third most common tuning pitch after 'A' and 'C'. The sine-waveform has no overtones or harmonics which makes it easily discernable from the instrument being tuned, but sounds somewhat unnatural to the ear. • This pure sine tone perception phenomenon is part of a series of sonic creation videos on the channel that includes tuning notes, low and mid frequency test tones and binaural 'beating' pairs of tones set a part by a few hertz or cycles per second to make the pulsing effect. • Listeners can leave it on for quick access to tuning an instrument or group.
