Sometimes you may wonder if an email address is valid or not, or if it even exists. There is a simple way to find out. You can go to the login page of the email service and indicate that you don’t remember the password of that email account. The service will ask for the email address where they can send the password recovery instructions. Enter the email address that you are trying to verify and click on “Continue”. If that address is not valid, Google will send you an error message saying “No account found with that email address”. • You can also go to the Gmail Sign-up page and try creating a new Gmail account with the address that you are trying to verify. For a valid email address, the error message will read: “Someone already has that username”. • Step # 2 - To verify Outlook, Hotmail and Live.com Addresses • For Outlook, Hotmail and Live.com adresses go to the account reset password page: “account.live.com/ResetPassword”; choose the “I forgot my password” option and enter the Outlook email address. You will get an error saying “The Microsoft account is incorrect”, for addresses that do not exist. • Step # 3 - To verify Yahoo Email Addresses • For Yahoo addresses go to Yahoo’s account recovery page: “edit.yahoo.com/forgot”.
