In this video i have tested the newest Armstrong equipment in a downwind run. • Gear: • -Board: Armstrong Doenwind 7.7 x 21 x 121 L • -Foil : Armstrong Apf 1675 + tc60 + pump 202 + performance 795. Plate was positioned on numer 9 on the box • -Paddle: Ppc Downwind 105 in2 • The PPC paddle facilitates easier takeoffs, compensating for my less skilled paddling. The foil lifts quickly and manages medium wind bumps effortlessly. Although the Armstrong Apf 1675 isn't the best for gliding, it's great for transitioning from larger to smaller foils and is forgiving to ride. The performance mast, while not hindering takeoff compared to shorter masts, provides ample clearance over bumps for better control. Initially, I experienced back leg pressure, but after installing a 1-degree positive base shim with the thicker side forward, the board's takeoff became more balanced and less aggressive. This adjustment also ensures a centered flight and alleviates back leg strain when navigating bumps.. • Please drop your comment below or share your experience with me if you are using another setup. • See you on the water🤙🏻 • #downwind #dw #armstrong
