Look forward for it and get excited! • Lately, I've been listening, studying, and generally getting myself immersed within the Vocaloid culture and rabbit hole, especially the content @JamiePaigeIRL has been releasing. I especially have had Machine Love (feat. Kasane Teto) on loop for the last few weeks, I'm in love with it! • @SAWTOWNE's Confessions of a Rotten Girl / ft. Hatsune Miku and Machine Love were inspirations to give me the idea to create a cute jazz love song. In this case, our host of this fine establishment is none other than Kasane Teto, the SynthV variant of her to be specific. Around a month ago, I made the decision to purchase SynthV, alongside some other voicebanks, Teto included. I've spent the last couple weeks learning the program and getting used to the tools given. I'll say that it's been very fun and satisfying writing melodies that have voices (even if they're artificial) singing it them, what an amazingly surreal feeling that is. • With all that said... Her voice is provided by the Japanese voice actress Saki Fujita (藤田咲, Fujita Saki). • Kasane Teto (重音テト) is a Japanese (and later English) UTAU who was originally created as a troll VOCALOID by fans. Her surname 重音 (Kasane) literally means heavy sound or overlapped sound; while these interpretations are widely accepted among fans, TWINDRILL has not released any announcements about the meaning of the name. Her name テト (Teto) comes from Tetopettenson, a parody song of Le Beau Tambour. • Although her original voicebank was only for use in UTAU, many people still mistook her for a VOCALOID (and still mistake her for one to this day). Though she had no final voicebank released for the VOCALOID engine, Teto had a private voicebank with Crypton Future Media, Inc. and there were attempts to release her for VOCALOID in collaboration with AH-Software Co. Ltd.. She later was to be released with a speech voicebank for TALQu in January 2022 and an AI voice database for Synthesizer V Studio in April 2023.
