Travel Zambias Northern Circuit Pt 4 Samfya Beach Lake Bangweulu

The last stop of our epic road trip was a visit to Lake Bangweulu in Samfya. Bangweulu translates to, Where the water meets the sky . (In the video I said, where the sky meets the sea lol...but that's because I kept singing the song from Moana!) • With only one full day, we tried to do as much as possible. The boys hired a local fishing boat, then after a quick lunch we headed to the side of the lake where most of the action is. We originally planned on going to the Chita Lodge beach, but there was a political rally blocking the street as it was just before elections. So we went further to a spot where there are quite a few more active places, and settled at Samfya Marines. As you can tell it was pretty busy and loud, due to it being a public holiday...something we overlooked in our planning! It was still a great day though. And David had a good idea to stop at Chita Lodge for a classic fish and chips dinner which was so good!
